Privacy Policy
HREYEUS is a community platform for HR-systems practitioners, built and run by a small team. This page is written in plain language for our members — it isn't a legal document drafted by counsel.
What we collect
When you request to join, sign in, or use HREYEUS, we collect:
- Account basics: name, username, and email address.
- Profile details you add: company, role/title, LinkedIn URL, bio, city/country, and a profile photo.
- Anything you upload: your profile photo and any images you add to articles or posts.
- Content you post: forum threads, replies, and articles.
We don't collect anything beyond what's needed to run the network — no ad trackers, no data brokers, no selling your information (more on that below).
How Google sign-in works
You can create an account with email and password, or sign in with Google. Google sign-in is entirely optional — it's a convenience, not a requirement. If you use it, Google shares your name, email, and profile photo with us to create your account; we don't get access to your Google account beyond that.
Where your data lives
- Supabase hosts our database, authentication, and file storage (profile photos, article images).
- Vercel hosts the website itself.
Both are established infrastructure providers we rely on to run the site securely — we don't run our own servers.
What's public and what isn't
- Published articles and forum threads/replies are visible to anyone who visits the site, signed in or not.
- Your profile is publicly visible if you've set it to discoverable. If you turn discoverability off, your profile is only visible to other signed-in members, not the public.
- Drafts (unpublished articles) are private to you and, where relevant, moderators.
- Your email address is never shown publicly — only to you and to admins/moderators reviewing membership.
Requesting deletion
You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing hreyeus@gmail.com. We'll remove your profile, uploaded images, and account details. Content you've posted publicly (threads, replies, articles) may be anonymised rather than deleted outright, where removing it entirely would break the conversation for other members — we'll talk this through with you if it applies.
We don't sell your data
We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone, for any reason. We're a small practitioner network, not an ads or data business.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note the new date at the top. We won't backdate or hide changes.
